This year will be the 2nd "year of roads" - Prez Akufo-Addo

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has retreated that his first year of his second term as the President of Ghana will be a continuation of the "year of roads" as was widely visible across the country in the year 2020.

He made this known during hi inaugural speech at the colorful swearing-in ceremony at the Parliament house  on Thursday 7th December, 2021.  The President mentioned that "our roads are been constructed at a much faster pace than before.  And yes, I acknowledge that there are still many more kilometers to construct.  We defined last year as the year of roads.  This year will be a second year of roads.  As we continue in a deficit in dealing with our road infrastructure."

President Nana Akufo-Addo was sworn in as President of the Republic of Ghana after he became victorious in the 7th December, 2020 general elections which was declared by the Electoral Commission of Ghana on 9th December, 2020.

The December 7th 2020 elections has been marked by local and international observers as the most transparent elections in the 4th Republic.
