As we practice social distancing and self-isolate in our bid to control this pandemic, remember also to have time to laugh. These are very depressing times, and your mental health matters. Laugh, a lot. Watch shows or series that crack you up. This is no time to read or watch dystopian novels and series. Actively seek out humour and laughter.
I remember when the pandemic started here in Hong Kong, my very good friend and colleague suffered a panic attack. My dear friend, who hardly leaves her apartment, felt she had somehow contracted the virus. She hadn't. It was just acid reflux. She was constantly following up on the news, watching cases spike here in Hong Kong. She felt very scared and helpless. We all did.
This one too shall pass. We shall overcome. In the meantime, keep hope alive and your spirits up. Watch Friends (guaranteed to make you laugh), find memes on Facebook, watch funny videos.
I would recommend the Good Place but it is too philosophical. This is not the time to experience an existential crisis.
Stay Positive ❤!
