"You are supposed to protect the State, not your political party!" - Agalga to ACP Kwasi Ofori

The NDC member of Parliament for Builsa North constituency in the Upper East Region has sent a strong warning to the Director of operations for the Greater Accra police command, ACP Kwasi Ofori, to be courteous of his duties as a police officer in the Ghana Police Service.

Hon Agalga made this direct this direct verbal statement after a heated confrontation with the Assistant Commissioner of Police when the minority caucus of Parliament engaged in a walk to the Electoral Commission Headquarters in Accra on Tuesday 22nd December, 2020 to present a petition to the chairperson of the Commission.

Their walk was destrupted by the police on grounds of breech of public order law.  The petition was later read to the media upon refusal by the Police and the Electoral Commission.
