Founding member of the governing New Patriotic Party and former National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme and a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Kwame Amoako Tuffour has passed on. This sudden death happened in the early hours today, 21st January, 2021.
Biography:
Dr. Joe Amoako-Tuffour holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Alberta, M.A. and B.A. (Hons) from Simon Fraser University in Canada. He is a Professor at St. Francis Xavier University (Canada) where he has taught since 1990, serving twice as head of the Economics Department. He has served in different capacities as a researcher and policy advisor at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (Ghana) on taxation and natural resources (mining and petroleum) revenue management.
Dr. Amoako-Tuffour brings his extensive experience in various spheres of activity to the service of Ghana-Canada Health Company, of which he is a Director and current Chairman of the Board of Directors.
